Episode 2: The Employee Evangelist with Oliver Vassard
On this episode of The Employee Evangelist:
We take a closer look at the story and journey of Oliver Vassard, the serial entrepreneur turned Employee Evangelist at 1508!
Check out and give him some love on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/olivervassard/
After 8 months of travelling in Sout East Asia, Oliver returned to Copenhagen to pursue a degree in Law & Economics at CBS.
Some of his early experiences with entrepreneurship started in the Hip Hop & Rap Music space in a tiny recording studio in Fredriksberg (ya believe it!)
3 or 4 startups later including a stint in NYC (with over 450 sales meetings), he learned many lessons with many failures but he finally ended up in 1508 and his story and wisdom on that journey were inspiring to listen too.
Oliver shares pure gold on his experience of becoming a passionate employee going deeper on topics like:
- Culture Eats Strategy for Breakfast
- The importance of Culture Markers
- Embracing Awkward Work Families
- Culture starts and ends with leadership
- The importance of outcome-based and not output-based KPIs
Honestly, after this conversation, I could not help but think to myself that I would love to work with 1508!
What an approach to empowering your people bravo to you guys for leading the way.
Enjoy people!
